The Evening of the 10th...

The day itself  was fairly good can't complain to be honest. I was ready for the game that evening, mainly because we were playing in front of a home crowd for the first time this season. Second league game of the season and it got off to the best of starts, going in the second with an eleven point lead. Killester had pushed us hard over the past few years but there was something different about this game. We felt more confident, well at least I did opening the scoring, getting two points from the line. From that point on things got much better outscoring them by ten. I thought I was playing reasonably good until I was taken off for getting two silly fouls. In all fairness the ref's must have been the only one's who thought they were silly, because I felt they were clean even if the guy ended up on the hardwood. Feeling fresh as a daisy going into the second half within the opening of the restart, I was given another two fouls leaving me on the bench for the rest of that quarter. I was pissed off with myself because I know only one of them was clean, as I cleaned out the guy on the other one. As soon as the buzzer sounded for the end of the third, I was raring to go for the last quarter, where strangely enough I didn't receive another foul. When we ran the clock down and the final buzzer sounded we knew that we had done enough. This was the momentum we needed for the remainder of the season.
